Surf Taco approached Cool Nerds Marketing with a clear goal: to refresh and elevate their social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Known for its laid-back vibe, bold flavors, and beach-town roots, Surf Taco wanted to bring that same energy to its digital footprint—through content that felt fresh, scroll-stopping, and true to its coastal-cool brand.
Surf Taco is more than just tacos—it's a lifestyle. Our mission was to translate that culture into a social strategy that celebrated the brand’s local legacy, surf-inspired spirit, and devoted fan base, while also attracting a new generation of followers and customers with trending sounds and videos.
As the Social Media Strategist, I led the direction of Surf Taco’s content strategy—overseeing platform-specific content calendars, campaign rollouts, and visual storytelling. I worked closely on the creative direction and execution, contributing as both a designer and video editor to help shape the brand’s digital voice and visual identity across formats like reels and carousels.
I also led influencer outreach for special campaigns—including seasonal menu drops and local collabs—securing creators who could authentically represent the Surf Taco vibe. These efforts not only helped boost reach and engagement, but also strengthened community ties across the Jersey Shore and beyond.
Our partnership helped Surf Taco stay true to its roots—while showing up online in a way that’s current, and built for discovery.

Surf Taco wanted to boost awareness and foot traffic around their slow season by promoting seasonal deals, limited-time menu items, and takeout and catering for holidays. My role involved developing and executing a targeted influencers that would create organic buzz and excitement across Instagram and TikTok.
I managed end-to-end outreach and coordination with 3 influencers across the Jersey Shore and surrounding areas. I handled all influencer vetting, communication, content timelines, and logistics.
Influencers were selected based on local relevance, audience engagement, content style, and their ability to drive reach within Surf Taco’s core Gen Z and millennial demographic
Results:
Increased in-store visits and limited time deal orders
Strengthened local brand loyalty through authentic creator partnerships and community engagement
